The Project

The design of The Brook references the historical importance of post and beam homes that are so prevalent in North and West Vancouver. These modernist West Coast homes made famous by some of Canada’s top Architects, Arthur Erickson, Fred Hollingsworth and Ron Thom can clearly be visualized in the building’s pure simplicity and understated style.

This twenty-four unit, four level residential development is terraced to elegantly fit on a gently sloping site that used to be home to a gas station. This prime location is in Upper Delbrook, one of the best and most sought after neighbourhoods in North Vancouver. Our forward thinking project team has integrated a Green and Sustainable Building design which will result in a very healthy open living space that is energy efficient, is less costly to operate and will have a very low impact on the local environment. The Brook’s facade combines finished concrete with natural cedar wood details, full height glass walls and a floating metal roof. Every detail in these residential units is deliberately reserved to maximize function. The open modern design allows natural colours and materials to converge with the unique scenery of the North Shore mountains to the North, and the downtown lights of Vancouver to the South. Gracious sized units with high ceilings open onto spacious decks and terraces, blurring the difference between indoor and outdoor living. All of these elements create one of the most leading-edge buildings in the province. The Brook is both smart with its function of green design and products, and beautiful in its form. Simply a wonderful and healthy place to live!

The Neighbourhood

Conveniently located within walking distance of the popular Edgemont Village, convenient Westview Centre mall, nearby Mosquito Creek green space and Delbrook and Griffin Recreation Centres. The established residential neighbourhood has been a loved area for all ages and holds the appeal of urban living next to nature’s door. The elevated slopes of the upper reaches of the North Shore have held generations of families that have enjoyed the community and the natural beauty of the mountains with the spectacular city and water views. Directly located beside the project is the Delbrook Plaza which offers the convenience of a number of professional services, small businesses and a neighbourhood coffee shop. The area enjoys an abundance of local services and nearby recreation centres and parks. These provide a wonderful and convenient array of lifestyle and sports amenities literally at your doorstep.
